Make the long, cold wait for spring a little warmer with chili. Whether you’re using a slow cooker or a stock-pot, chili is comfort food that won’t just warm your tummy, it will fill your house with delightful aromatics. The Co-op’s here to help you get cooking.
“Bulk” up your chili: Mix things up with unique beans like cannellini or cranberry beans, and dial in your seasonings with our elaborate selection of bulk spices. You can always purchase exactly as much or as little as you want in the Bulk department, letting you craft the perfect flavor.
Chili Mac & Cheese
Ingredients: 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni • 1 lb. ground beef • 1 bell pepper, diced • 1 onion, diced • 2 cloves garlic, minced • 28 ounces fire-roasted tomatoes • 1 tsp. chili powder • 1 tsp. cumin • 1 tsp. dried oregano • Sea salt and black pepper to taste • 1 cup grated cheddar.
Directions: cook pasta then drain and rinse with cold water. Brown beef until cooked through. Add pepper and onion and sauté until onion is tender. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add tomatoes, spices, salt and pepper. Stir in pasta. Top with grated cheddar and serve.
