There’s nothing corny about tasty snacks — unless you’re talking popcorn! With that kernel of an idea, we share a tasty popcorn recipe and a ready-to-eat option. Find it all at First Alternative, where anyone can shop and everyone saves.
Easy Vegan Stovetop Popcorn
Ingredients: 2 tablespoons coconut oil, 1/3 cup popcorn kernels, ½ teaspoon sea salt, ½ tablespoon nutritional yeast
Directions: Heat coconut oil in a medium pan. When you’re ready to test the heat, toss a few kernels onto the pan. Once they’re popped, you’re ready to go. Add popcorn kernels and cover, turning occasionally until the sound of popping mostly subsides. Remove from heat, toss with sea salt and nutritional yeast — and serve with a good movie.
Lesser Evil Popcorn
When the kids need a quick snack, you can feel good about giving them Lesser Evil Popcorn. Lesser Evil’s snacks are made with simple, clean, organic ingredients. A variety of flavors are available, like white cheddar, the garlic and parmesan goodness of Homer’s Blend, and fun seasonal tastes like Chocolate Candy Cane Popcorn. Pop over to the chip aisle on your next visit to the Co-op and try something new.
