Winter Carnival is a blast

Hoodoo celebrates every inch of opportunity to bring families together to play in the snow and eat the best nachos ever. The ski season is in full swing and Hoodoo is packed with events from the Enchanted Nordic Trek to our most magical event of the season, Winter Carnival. We do our best to keep prices low and the hotdogs delicious with great deals midweek, and kids 10 and under ski and ride free every day! Plus, Hoodoo is the only ski area in Central Oregon that offers night skiing open to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday for those who like to hit the slopes under the stars.
Winter Carnival is a tradition at Hoodoo for over 40 years that includes numerous free events (no lift ticket required) including: ax throwing booth, frisbee golf, musical chairs, three-legged obstacle race, team tube race, hula-hoop contest, fly-athalon, pie-eating contest, ski javelin throw, archery contest and bingo. It’s a celebration of winter recreation and, without a doubt, our biggest and grandest event of the season. Other highlights include live music in the lodge, the Dummy Downhill contest and an incredible firework extravaganza on the mountain after the lifts close in the evening.
It’s a must-experience event, and everyone is welcome.
