Parents can give their children a great start for kindergarten
at this Saturday's "Let's Get Ready" Early Learning Fair. Families
will enjoy games, block play, and other fun, skill-building
activities, along with a free book for each child from the
Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia.
"School is starting soon, and we want to help kids build the
skills they need to succeed . At this event, kids will
participate in fun, early-learning activities; and parents will
learn more about local resources to help their children get ready
for school," said Charity Cree, Youth Services Librarian for
Mid-Columbia Libraries.

The fair, which takes place at the Pasco Branch of Mid-Columbia
Libraries, will help families connect with resources and
organizations that promote early learning. The
Benton-Franklin Early Learning Alliance (BFELA) is facilitating
this event locally. BFELA is a community collaboration that
focuses on the needs of young children and their families.
