Muter Chocolate Spa Treatment! Yum . . .

Candy and I had a wonderful time at Thompson Hill Cellars March 19th! We pampered ourselves with a Chocolate Spa and then enjoyed a delicious meal while we overlooked the Tri-Cities from the beautiful grounds of Thompson Hill Cellars.  We had a hard time deciding from the spa treatments.  Would you rather have a vineland Cocoa Butter and Strawberry skin replenishment, Cocoa butter & rose hip facial massage, Chocolate Mask and facial, or Lemon Cocoa Butter massage?

See, it's almost painful to decide because they all sound wonderful!  We decided on the chocolate facial.  When have you ever been able to lick your face during a facial? And enjoy it?  It was truly a great experience and dinner was well beyond our greatest expectations.  We had steak with a chocolate sauce that was to die for and the desserts, well let's just say, "We can't wait to go again!"  The best part is the dark chocolate is actually good for you!  (-:     Visit muterchocolate.com for more detail or to contact Maren.  Thanks again for a fabulous experience.  A very special Thank you to Maren, Malaina and Kelly for our treat!

GET Started Saving for College

Time is running out to enroll in Washington's Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET) program at the current unit price. New accounts must be opened by March 31st to secure the unit price of $117. GET is a 529 Prepaid College Tuition plan that helps families save for college. It works on a unit system where 100 units represent one year of tuition and state-mandated fees. The units value will be the real cost of tuition and fees of the highest priced Washington public university; however, you can use units at nearly any public or private university, community college or vocational school in the country. Units can also be used to pay for room and board, books or other higher education costs. They can even be transferred to another sibling or family member, including cousins, if your child receives a scholarship or decides not to attend college.

GET program

The GET program is backed by the full faith and credit of the state of Washington. That means if future tuition increases ever require the program to pay out more money than it has available, the Legislature would be required by law to provide funding to cover the shortfall.

Washington's program is so successful for parents saving for their kids' college the state is looking to make changes to the program for future enrollees after March 31, 2011. Don't miss this deadline and opportunity to start saving today! For more information, visit the GET web site at:  http://www.get.wa.gov/.
