<p>This week I am working on my portion control.&nbsp; Portion
control goes both ways - for me it is so important because I
usually don't get enough. &nbsp;This makes my body go into survival
mode and store fats.&nbsp; It also doesn't help my metabolism -
which we are trying to get working again.&nbsp; So when I skip
meals or don't eat what is recommended by my program - I am
sabotaging my weight loss.</p>

<p>My program has certain amounts of a wide variety of selected
food groups for each meal breakfast, Lunch, dinner, and
snacks.&nbsp; My consultant Hannah provides me with a list of
portion recommendations for me to choose from (Protein,
Fruit/Starch, and Vegetables) - so for example a lunch would be; 4
ounces Protein, 8 ounces of uncooked vegetables (which is a lot
salad) and something from the fruit/starch, and a protein
supplement.</p>

<p>When I don't follow these recommendations I don't get the
results - simple as that.&nbsp; And last week I didn't do my
measuring and I didn't get the results. &nbsp;So this week I am
getting back to measuring and putting me first when my life gets
crazy taking time to plan meals ahead of time.</p>

&nbsp;Every visit I get my blood pressure taken and we talk about
how the week went for me. &nbsp;I am making positive progress and
seeing results.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Comfy clothes are great, but for me,
if I want to take off the weight I need to pull on those tight
jeans on and wear them around. &nbsp;It is a reminder for me of how
great it is going to feel when they losen up. &nbsp;Now is the

<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Yes, I am a Meal
Skipper</strong></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Yes - I am a meal skipper.&nbsp; I
skip breakfast and sometimes it will be 2 or 3 p.m. and I realize I
haven't eaten.&nbsp; Sometimes I will bring my lunch to Ava's swim
lesson at 3:00 to finish during the 30 minute session.&nbsp; My
friends Allison and Sarah both are just saying - you need to
eat.&nbsp; My life is so busy and I really don't get hungry.&nbsp;
So one of the things I am working on from last week is eating
within an hour of waking up.&nbsp; My body has gone into survival
mode and is storing all those calories and my metabolism is
functioning at low rate.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">I lost two pounds last week and I
ate something for breakfast each day.&nbsp; It's a start.</p>

April 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Takena Landing for a 3 mile walk
with your four-legged friend. This event is the first in a series
of Let's G.O. (Get Outside) activities for the month of April.
