Learning Palace 30th Anniversary

Learning Palace, a family owned and locally operated educational supply store is celebrating its 30th anniversary this spring. Portland residents Norman and Norma Faris founded Learning Palace in 1982. Norma was frustrated with not being able to find high quality educational products for her children and suggested to Norman that they open their own educational supply store. The Faris' opened their first location, a small 1,400 square foot store in Portland. In 1998 they opened a location in Salem at Evergreen Plaza. Norman stated that, "Learning Palace has been successful because of my family's involvement and support, and because of the quality of the merchandise we sell." Norman sadly passed away in 2005 in a long battle with cancer. However, his vision for family involvement and providing high quality products still continues to this day. Norma, with the help of her son, three daughters, son-in-law and two nephews, currently operates five Learning Palace locations in Oregon and one in SW Washington.

The Children's Performing Arts Series MARCH 10th performance CANCELLED

The Children's Performing Arts Series performance for this Saturday March 10th with the Valentine's Pigs has been cancelled. Unfortunately, we will not be able to reschedule this performance this year.

The next, and final performance is set for March 17th featuring Henrik Bothe. Unusual, funny, and original, Henrik's show covers almost every combination of skill - from balancing atop an 8' tall, freestanding ladder to "Neonman", a glow-in-the-dark optical illusion. Children and adults will love this skilled, professional, and talented performer!
