My guitar hero

The Timber Ridge Elementary 4th grade music class put on quite a rocking concert. Our 9-year-old daughter has been raving about the music teacher, Mr. Von.  I don't know about you, but our 4th grade music class involved sticks and recorders and things that really didn't inspire us. We wanted to listen to Another One Bites the Dust (Queen) and I Love Rock and Roll (Joan Jet). The only thing biting the dust was our enthusiasm for music.

VonMr. Von, however, is a whole other story. Not only are these kids excited to learn about music, they split into rock bands and performed in front of about 50 people. Their excitement, knowledge and confidence was so inspiring! Our daughter had a blast performing Smoke on the Water with her band, The Crazy Tacos. And then she taught her dad how to play it with her.

it is a great idea to give a music lesson to children.
