That would be so much fun! I remember visiting Wildlife Safari as a kid, when a camel rubbed his head on the drivers side window. We all thought it was so cool, until he spit on us!!! :) HAHAHA!!! Thanks for entering us in the drawing!

How fun! When I was 10, my parents surprised me and my siblings with a trip to Wildlife Safari. We didn't even know we were going there until we pulled up to the gates! I remember being in awe of how close we were to all of the animals. There was a "big cats" show going on at the time and we got to pet a cub. It was a great event during my childhood!

Wildlife Safari is great for the whole family! I use to get the yearly membership every year, and now that we live in Springfield we only get to visit every so often. We have some really good family memories at the place from feeding the elephants to having a giraffe poke his head in our sunroof. Good times!!

My daughter got one of those giant stuffed bears from Costco for her first birthday last month. She adores Big Big Bear! She lays on him, hugs him, kisses him, and tells him all of her secrets. On a recent trip to Costco, she spotted her Big Big Bear riding in someone else's cart. She pointed and let out this cute angry grunt, obviously concerned and trying to figure out why her Big Big Bear was going away without her. When Big Big Bear was being carted out of the store, my daughter began crying hysterically. I tried to tell her that I was certain Big Big Bear would meet us at home. And amazingly, he did. She was thrilled and smothered him in love.

Our kids still tell the story of when they were at wildlife safari and a herd of Buffalo made them stop the car. One particular Buffalo decided he needed to relieve himself...on the car tires. The boys thought (and still think) this is one of the funniest things that could ever happen. Ah, the joys of potty humor

I love the idea of Camp Tiki for families, and would love to take our kids their during that weekend. That weekend is ironically our 10th wedding anniversary and we can't afford to do anything special - and that would be REALLY COOL!!!

Before we moved to Oregon 3 years ago we came for a visit and my parents took me, my husband, and my 1 and 4 year old here. The 4 year old loved it but I think my daughter was still too young. We now have an 8, 5, and 3 1/2 year old and have wanted to go again. A camp out there would be a blast!

I don;t have a wild animal story but here is My favorite story of our old cat "buddy" when my son was a baby. We would put our son into his bassinett and the cat would go under it and sleep or keep watch. He would stay there until the human was removed and no longer required the protective status of him. I am still not sure to this day if it was curiousity or protecting the baby but I do know when the baby went into that bassinett he was there. This same cat could sense when you were peeling potatos in the kitchen. He would be right there at your feet wanting some. I have a great picture of him stretching up to the counter trying to get one off the counter. I never claimed we had 'normal' pets but we have great pets. Our family loves to go and see animals!!

Our families sweetest memories are of Splash, our Labrador Retriever. She was bred to work, but teaching our kids about responsibility and endless devotion is her biggest job! She helped raise 2 kids (ours) and 2 litters of 11 pups! One of those babies went on to be a Field Champion. Delivering and caring for those babies was a lot of work, but sooo much fun! Splash was always up for an adventure, she is the perfect companion for rambunctious kids! Our family learned a lot from Splash and her babies. She is pushing 13 now, but still as sweet, patient and happy as ever!

I was out hunting at dusk and sat for a moment near a tree, on the opposite side of the tree a porcupine came out of its burrow and promptly came around to my side where we made eye contact and I asked him where he was going. We both walked away (he/she scampered) with the understanding things can happen faster than you expect. Porcupines are very cool.

I remember going to the N.D. zoo when I was little and seeing a lion pace back and forth along the rails. I started singing to him and he dropped to the ground and closed his eyes. I was absolutely sure that my singing soothed him to sleep. If you had ever heard me sing you would know just how delusional I was. ; )
