The Parent Expo is being held this Saturday, April 30th at the Lane County Fairgrounds, Wheeler Pavilion from 1-5pm. Bring the whole family for a fun, FREE afternoon.  Chat with "Travel MOM", "Fitness MOM" Rachel and "Music MOM" Anahid at the MOM Magazine Booth.  There will be information on Health Care, Child Care, Education, Finances, Beauty, Fashion, Nutrition, Children's Activities, and so much more!

Children will enjoy a big inflatable slide and vintage fire truck provided by the Springfield Fire Department, outdoor activities by Kick City and music for pre-schoolers. Everyone can enjoy sampling ice cream and cookies. Get the brand-new car-seat safety regulations, and correct installation of your car-seat by the Eugene Police Department.  Performances throughout the Parent Expo include acoustic guitar, a demonstration by the Oregon Ki Society, a performance of acoustic South African music, a presentation by MOM Magazine on the makeover winner, children's music, and more.

Katie is a loving, thoughtful and hard-working single mom. She has two children, one who is a busy soccer player and the other who is a growing girl. She works cleaning homes while attending school at Lane Community College for an engineering degree. Her goal is to make a better living for her family and she strives hard to do it earning honors in her school work. (Most of her work is done while having to miss needed sleep). Last year her father died from a brain tumor. Her year has been a challenge. She is always there as a friend, and has little time to herself. I would like to see her receive a makeover because she could use time to pamper herself and be acknowledged for all that she does on her own and for her children and friends.
