The Festival of Balloonsis a non-profit organization raising funds for many non-profit groups in Tigard while providing a premier family event for the entire community. Groups benefiting from Festival funds include:American Cancer Society/ Relay for Life Tigard-Tualatin, THS Band, Boy Scouts, Tigard Breakfast Rotary, Tigard Lunch Rotary, THS Boosters, Southside Soccer, THS Grad Night Committee, and many local elementary, middle, and high schools.

Smoovies Outdoor Movies are a fun way to bring the entire family together while enjoying the cool desert nights and a great show! From June through August, the company shows free outdoor movies on a giant, 30-foot screen.

Due to the forecast of high winds and a chance of rain, the June 9th movie has been cancelled.  Journey 2: The Mysterious Island has been rescheduled for Saturday June 16.

Smoovies Outdoor Movies take place at the Calvary Outdoor Amphitheater, located at 10611 Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick on the border of Kennewick and Richland next to Calvary Chapel and near the Country Gentleman Restaurant.

Volunteers and supporters are always welcome in order to keep the outdoor movies going this summer.  If you are interested in helping please contact Smoovies at help@smoovies.com.  They are looking for organizers, musicians, performers, manual labor, activity leaders and sponsors.

If you have a teenager looking for a fun summer job, Smoovies Concessions is now hiring for concession help.  Please go to the Job Openings link and fill out an application.  Must be willing to work weekends.
