Ouch! That stings

I just got stung by a bee! I am proud to say that when I screamed like a girl, there were no curse words used. Really. I just felt a tap on my left index finger, then a burn, then it felt like a hammer smashed my finger. Wow, how can a little creature bring a (ahem) 150 pound woman to her knees.

But I am proud to report that my mom's tried and true wive's tale cure worked wonders. Take meat tenderizer powder and add a dab of water. Mix to create a paste and rub on the sting. The paste immediately takes the pain out of the sting. Wow, thanks mom!

Field trip to the press!

WOWP 1Last week, Raeann took Mia, Alex & I on a little field trip to the actual printing of our magazines at Western Oregon Web Press.  Mia and Alex got a kick out of seeing the process...as Alex said pointing to the machine binding the magazines, "That's a cool thingamadoodle!" I had to agree - it was my first time visiting and seeing our magazines being produced was very cool.

It's time to head to FROGTOWN! We had a great time meeting this week with Amy Roloff, star of TLC's "Little People, Big World." She let us in on a little green secret. She's starring in an exciting production of FROGTOWN this weekend at the Aladin Theater in Portland. It sounds so exciting. Don't miss it! And check out Amy's other exciting adventures at the Amy Roloff Charity Foundation.
