Holiday Travel

If you hit the road to grandma's house for Christmas, packing is a big issue. I can relate - we used to travel from one grandparent house to the next to celebrate the holidays.

What to pack:

  • Clothes for the kids, but not too many because they'll be getting gifts
  • Toys for the kids, but not too many because they'll be getting gifts
  • Favorite blankets and pillows
  • Gifts from you for the kids to open on Christmas, but keep hidden now
  • Gifts for everyone else
Now the car is full and I think I've remembered everything. Not until later do I realize that I forgot my stuff. No underwear or pajamas. Are you kidding me? I would never forget underwear for the kids! Here's an idea to help you remember your important things, and to help you keep them in a special place. Just for mom - or for a great gift from mom. This year we will be home for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but leaving Christmas night for Depoe Bay. The 28th is our 26th anniversary so it's gift we're sharing with our kids! Love our family time since we don't have much during the week! Packing for a large family isn't always fun...we have a preprinted list that I found at a local store, I check off the things the kids need to bring and send everyone off on their hunt to find the right clothes. The younger kids are checked before their bags are loaded but it certainly makes packing a much easier task for me and tons of fun for the kids! Love those lists!!!

Good luck moms! Packing for the holidays is crazy business. These travel packs are not only a great idea, they are beautiful and make you feel special. And we all need that, right? Happy Packing, Raeann

We might take a drive to town for the holidays. Most likely to Grandma's in Roseburg.

    :-)

    Merry Christmas everyone!

We are not going anywhere this year. My husband actually works most of the day on Christmas day. So it will be a low-key Christmas

We have some family up in Washington, so we will drive up there and spend 2 days and then drive back. My birthday is 2 days after Christmas - so I like to be home for that :)

The only traveling I will be doing this holiday is for New Year's. I plan on spending New Year's Eve with my parents and my in-laws in Newport, Ore. Otherwise, Christmas is at our house. We are fortunate to have everyone close by. Last year we spent two weeks, one week at Disney World and the other week on the Disney cruise. I would have loved to go on that trip again right now!

We spread it out a little this year. The 20th is with my husbands brother and family at our house (early because they are moving to Minnesota the 23rd to go into ministry). Christmas eve at home and after Santa comes Christmas morning....off to grandma's (my husbands parents)for a few hours and then the rest of the afternoon at my parents with my sister and adorable niece. I hope to get back home early enough to sit near the fire and watch Elf while the kids and my husband trash the house with all of their new gifts:) Gotta love the holidays!

Houses are not cheap and not everybody can buy it. Nevertheless, personal loans was invented to support different people in such situations.
