I would like to nominate my wife Soliana Sapp as SuperMom. Soliana was born in Eritrea (North-east Africa) and took refuge to the United States when she was 8 years old. Soliana witnessed war at its worst while she was growing up. Soliana's mother moved her and her brothers from city to city and country to country to be safe from the horrific war that had erupted with neighboring Ethiopia. Soliana's mother protected her children through the worst times that any person could imagine. I see the same qualities in Soliana that I see in her mother.

Soliana is a brand new mother to our healthy son Esias who is now 10 weeks old. I am amazed how Soliana just knows what to do when it comes to everything about Esias. In the last 10 weeks I have never heard Soliana complain about the tough job called motherhood.

I am delighted to have a beautiful wife and son that I look forward to coming home to every night.

I would have to vote for my wife, Emmy Goodwin, as SuperMOM. Between working full time and putting up with me, you would think sh would call it a day. But she still has time for our kids -- swimming lessons, t-ball, reading, you name it. She makes sure we are all fed and the bills are paid (what does the checkbook look like, anyway?) in addition to being the 'social coordinator' for the family. Whatever projects come our way, she is the one who makes sure the phone calls are made and the details are taken care of so everything turns out the way it should.

And did I mention she puts up with me?

Emmy is truly faster than a speeding nerf ball, more powerful than a cell phone speed dialer, and able to leap tall lego buildings in a single bound, making her a SuperMOM!

My "secret" super power is the ability to change direction without falling over (too often). When life throws a curveball and plans have to be changed, I think I do a pretty amazing job of making everyone else think it's "no big deal" even when it really is!

I think every mom possesses all the powers of superman or "supermom". My kids have named me Megamom actually. I can fly like the wind when I hear one of my kids crying. Leap over tall buildings in a single bound! Or at least leap to the top of the stairs when someone calls for help. Xray vision? Sure thing, I know my kids well enough to know what scheme their planning next and I do have those handy eyes in the back of my head. ;)
When it comes to our children, every Mom is willing to do whatever it takes to keep them happy and safe. I know many Super Moms. My own being the most powerful of all. We superheroes have to learn from the best! :)

My superpower as a mom is patience. I'm the mom of 10 kids and the grandma of 1. My oldest is 22 and my youngest is 3! My grandson just turned 2! Seven years ago we decided to adopt. We have since ended up adopting 9 chidren, two sibling groups of 4 and a single boy. They are 12, 12, 10, 10, 9, 6, 5, 4 and. Our house is busy all the time. There's always someone wanting something it seems. I've learned that I can only be one person and that unless the kids are bleeding they can learn to wait their turn. Not only do I have the 'superpower' of patience but the kids are learning they have the power of patience also. We often have my grandson, nieces or nephews or friends over so there are always more than our kids here but they can keep themselves busy. The more the merrier generally. I just have to supervise and be patient and things generally work themselves out without me intervening. Of course I supervise but I try to let my children have the power to deal with minor problems and issues that may arise in the course of a normal day teaching them tactfulness and mediation, compromise, all those things well-rounded adults need to know. Being in a large family my children are learning these things early in life. So many people visit our house and cannot believe that there are 9 young children here because they are so well mannered and so well behaved. I personally believe that is because I am patient and not frazzeled and/or stressed about the number of kids. If I was I think it would show in the kids, they would be more wild and high strung. I learned to be calm, patient and understanding from my superhero mother who, luckily for my kids lives just 4 houses away! Thanks to my mother for being my superhero!

hmmmm, my mom super power?? I have 5 kids all under the age of 7 and like many other moms I always have two to four more kids over at the house playing, or running around to "go somewhere with the kids"...I feel like a kid at heart (even though I am 30..what point in life did I actually move from being a kid to a kid at heart?? who knows..), being able to play with the kids like kids is my supermom power. So in other words...FUN! I also pack a super charged backpack rocket for those days when the cape and the super hero tank top is not quite enough! But do not underestimate my power to metamorphosize into the "villain" per say to get the job done around the home...And then when this superhero mom comes home from a hard day of "FUN" she has a great mom herself to come and fly in to assist in the mission! All superhero supermoms always travel together, like the fantastic four,I can think of two more supermoms who have a big part in my life and my kids which seems to make my super power all that stronger when the three get all together we are unstoppable!! Thank you J.V.R. and R.V.A.!!

I would like to nominate my wife Sarah Blount as Super Mom. Sarah is a full time teacher at SandRidge Charter School and a full time mom of two beautiful but not so innocent boys. Matthew who is 3 1/2 and Isaiah who is 15 months. Not only does she have to take care of them but she also does a great job of putting up with me and for those of you who know me knows how hard that would probably be.

Sarah is forced to keep the peace in a home where we live with her parents and does a great job in doing so. Sarah is also going to school full time to get her Masters Degree in Teaching and is passing with straight A's.

Sarah is a great wife and an even better mother which makes me believe she is the best choice for Super Mom.

    Sincerely,

    Greg Blount

I would like to nominate my mother Kathy Sapp as SuperMom. My mother was widowed in 1986 and raised 4 children on her own. My mother has endured many challenges in the last 23 years which included the unexpected loss of my father.

In 2003 my mother was informed that her two sons (myself and younger brother) would be deployed to Iraq at the same time. Now that my younger brother is serving another tour in Iraq, I see first hand what stress my mother might have gone through when she had two of her own in harms way at the same time.

No matter what, I can always count on my mother. She is emotionally and mentally strong and her positive attitude has been shared by many.

I would like to nominate my wife Josie as a Super Mom. Last year, the day after our daughter Dacotah turned a year old, Josie suffered a major medical issue and spent 40 days in the hospital between August and December. A one point she was able to come home with an iv machine. You can imagine the challenges of a one year old and being attached to the machine 24-7.

During this time I took over most of what she had done with the baby and our home. I knew she did a lot, but I was overwhelmed by what she seemed to accomplish effortlessly. Even when she was so sick, and in the hospital, she did everything she could to be a mom and part of her daughter's daily life. Even on days when it was more than she should have done.

Since December, Josie has worked amazingly hard to get back to a more normal life as a mom and wife. In January she went back to work as a professor, and today, becuase of her hard work and effort to get well, life aa a mom and wife are back to near normal. Her positive attitude, personal strength and love for our daughter and family make her the best example of a Super Mom i know of.
