As the summer is drawing to a fast close our family has been very busy at home this year. We do have plans for camping later towards the end of August but since my husband was transferred to Salem and has been working so many hours and our family just opened another store in Salem, Mother Goose and Lady Goose Resale, we have not had any time at all to 'hit the road' for any sort of road trip or vacation or even a simple overnight trip.

The kids have pitched their tents in the back yard and have been camping outside since school let out in June. (That is starting to wear off now, they're asking if they can sleep in their rooms now!) We've roasted hot dogs and made smores using the fire pit. Just little things like that to have some fun.

But what the kids and I have been trying to do is take short road trips to new and fun parks or places around the area. One day we went blackberry picking on one of the overgrown, undeveloped roads in South Albany. What fun the kids had! I think they ate more than we brought home!

Twice now when I've had to work at one of the stores grandma has snuck all 9 of the kids out to a movie, a brand new experience for our huge brood! Not something we can usually afford but thanks to a very generous grandma our children have been able to see two movies in the theater this summer!

We've made a couple of trips to the new Albany Public Library! What an amazing place! They have a great children's section!

We spent a day at Bryant's Park at their very nice playground while mom and sisters practiced their photography. Also a very fun day at Millersburg Park. Different toys to play on there and a track to get their exercise in! ;)

For our "big road trip" we drove 'all the way' to Corvallis to a great school which has a wonderful playground, had a picnic lunch there and spent the entire afternoon playing on their wooden play structure. It was the best afternoon yet! We can't wait to go back! We all loved it! It was called Wildcat Park at Wilson Elementry School. It was our biggest road trip so far this summer. The kids can't wait to take their dad to the park to play and show him the neat place we found on our excursion!

We still have a few more weeks of summer break left...who knows what new fun and exciting places we'll find and neat things we can do just by taking a short trip down the road, close to home.

Some time before, I really needed to buy a good house for my firm but I did not have enough cash and couldn't order anything. Thank God my fellow proposed to try to take the mortgage loans from creditors. Hence, I acted that and used to be happy with my auto loan.
